About Our School

Welcome to Echo Mountain Primary School

EMPS Coyotes

Where Young Coyotes Can Believe, Achieve, Succeed!

We are located at 1750 East Grovers Avenue, just east of 16th Street. To enter our parking lot, you will turn north on 18th Street from Grovers Avenue. You will then drive directly into our parking lot and have easy access to our Administrative Office.

Echo Mountain Primary School was constructed in 1980. We are pleased to be able to celebrate over 30 years of helping children learn and grow. Originally, our campus was a K-6 site. As the population grew, a second building was added in 1987. In 2002, we split the campus into two schools - Echo Mountain Primary, to serve Pre-K through 3rd Grades, and Echo Mountain Intermediate, to serve grades 4-6. In 2007, we added a new building for the office and kindergarten classrooms. Today, our learning community consists of over 600 young learners excited to grow and achieve their best.

Echo Mountain Coyotes learn to be their best through the use of the Make Your Day citizenship program.

Our goal is to individualize instruction for each student. We use the RTI (Response to Intervention) program to help us meet that goal. We also offer free full-day kindergarten, after-school academic and enrichment programs, and online homework help through PVSchools FROST Online Tutoring.

However, we also strive to develop the whole child through special area class instruction in art, music, and PE.  All students attend 40-minute classes in each of these special areas approximately once per week.

Echo Mountain Primary is also proud of our library and technology services.  At EMPS, we believe that all students should have fair and equitable access to literature and technology. Our Library/Media center contains over 20,000 volumes between Echo Mountain Primary and Echo Mountain Intermediate. We have two Technology Labs, plus iPad and Chromebooks located in classrooms. EMPS is one of the few schools in the area to offer full-time instruction in both library and technology to all students.

We invite you to join the Echo Mountain Team!

Echo Mountain Dress Code

At Echo Mountain, our goal is to create a positive learning environment where all students can achieve their personal best. As such, we want our students to dress comfortably, appropriately, and ready to learn. Our EMPS Dress Code helps students be ready to focus on learning.
